Two further F+S employees certified as Automotive Functional Safety Professional (AFSP)

In F+S the involvement in “Functional Safety” for ECUs, based on the standards ISO IEC 61508 und ISO 26262, is becoming increasingly larger. As mentioned in the previous News, we have been working since many years in safety relevant projects of the automotive area (e.g. electrical steering, yaw rate sensor, dynamic drive control, assistance systems).  We have been active in both the development of safety relevant products, as well as in the integration of norm requirements in relevant development processes.

Administrative Head of Limburg-Weilburg District visits F+S

Besuch LandratMr. Manfred Michel, the administrative head of Limburg-Weilburg district, and Mr. Walter Gerharz , the chairperson of the economic development organization, came to visit F+S in April. The economic development organization maintains a network of the local enterprises. And thanks to this network, F+S has gotten into contact with other local enterprises, which we intend to cultivate further.

“I am really impressed by the effectiveness of F+S and I welcome the cooperation of local enterprises highly. They play a huge role in strengthening the economy of our district and helps to create employment opportunities”, said Mr. Manfred Michel at the end of his visit.

New Safety Menu on F+S Website

Over the last year we have noticed an increasing interest in our Functional Safety related services. We have already years of experience with “functional safety” in automotice, we have developers, consultants and tool designers who work in safety-relevant projects. Thus we have decided to dedicate a new menu “Safety” on our website, to describe our expertise in this particular area.

For the third time, F+S GmbH was present at the embedded world Exhibition & Conference exhibition. Again, we were very pleased with the new contacts we were able to make.

Like every year, the exhibition was held in Nuremberg (from 26.2.2013 to 28.2.2013). This is the world's biggest embedded technologies exhibition and a great meeting point for the international embedded community. More than 750 exhibitors from over 30 countries were there in Nuremberg to present their products and services.
