History

F+S GmbH wasfounded in 2000

F+S GmbH was founded in 2000 by Dr. Joachim Fleckner and Dipl.-Ing. Thomas Rainer Simon. They wanted to put their comprehensive know-how into the successful development of automotive embedded software. The milestones of our history show what is important to us to the present day.

From the very beginning F+S has focused on three mutually complementary areas: software development, process consultation and tools for automation of the work processes.

2001

In 2001, the first ISO 9001 certification takes place in order to ensure the quality of our services at a high level and to further optimize our processes with the experience of the auditors. Since then, the certification has been repeated annually.

2008

In 2008, at the age of 60, Thomas Rainer Simon hands over the management of the company and continues to work on projects until his retirement. Josef Horstkötter, who has been with the company since 2001, will follow in his footsteps. F+S is growing continuously.

End of 2008

At the end of 2008, the company moves to new offices at Am Kissel 1A in Limburg.

2011

In 2011, Joachim Fleckner also steps down from the management board and hands over to André Zeh. He has been with F+S for 7 years. Joachim Fleckner will remain closely associated with the company as a consultant and main shareholder.

2012

In 2012, the F+S team now has 25 employees. Thomas Rainer Simon is retiring at the age of 63.

2014

In 2014, a new F+S design is developed, the company portfolio is restructured and the website is relaunched

2015

In 2015, the company moved to Renngraben 7 in Limburg, followed by an inauguration ceremony. F+S now has ample space and can continue to grow.

2019

In 2019, all employees, former employees and shareholders came together for the Christmas party. Together we remember 20 successful years of F+S.

2020

Many employees switch to the mobile office in 2020. F+S is gradually adjusting its infrastructure and adapting to the flexible working world.

2021

In 2021, Josef Horstkötter hands over the position of Managing Director to Michael Salzer. Thanks to his many years of successful work in external companies, he brings a breath of fresh air and innovative ideas to the company.

2022

In 2022, Mr. André Zeh will resign as Managing Director for personal reasons.

2024

2024 Renovation of the brand image and website relaunch.
