Successful Kick-off of intacs "ASPICE and IT-Security" working group at F+S

IntacsOn 7 May 2018 the first meeting of the newly founded intacs™ working group "ASPICE and IT-Security", consisting of cyber security experts from OEMs, suppliers and consulting firms of the automotive industry, took place at the premises of F+S GmbH.

The aim of the workshop was to get a general overview of the multitude of (potentially) relevant security standards and to develop a common understanding of the goals and working methods of the newly founded working group.

As a result, the goal was not to "invent" yet another standard, but to supplement ASPICE 3.1 at certain points in such a way that existing security standards or those in progress are referenced. This will require adding base or generic practices, notes or entire processes to Automotive SPICE® to address cyber security aspects.
The next working group meeting will take place again at F+S in Limburg in October 2018.

Girls'Day

Girl's DayJobs in information and electrical engineering in Germany are rather masculine, especially in the automotive sector. The international market looks different, as well as women dare to the vehicle technology. To change this, we open our doors at Girls'Day on 26th April 2018 for girls who are curious about these tasks.

Girls with an interest in computer science and technology are very welcome on this day and can experience that these are also interesting career opportunities for women.

We will tell the girls about our projects, tasks and customers, and we will show them how easy it is to create and program circuits with just a few materials. In discussions with our colleagues they can address all their questions and they will see: technology is not just a man's business!

First meeting of intacs working group „ASPICE und IT-Security“ hosted by F+S

IntacsOn Monday, 07/05/2018, the first meeting of the newly established intacs™ working group “ASPICE and IT Security” will be held at F+S. The working group includes cyber security experts from OEMs, suppliers and consulting companies of the automotive industry.

The subject of Security is one of the biggest new challenges for automotive manufacturers and suppliers. Advancements in “autonomous driving” also involve the development of technical interfaces between vehicles and the infrastructure, which will open up entirely new attack scenarios. FunctionalSafety will be possible in the future only by taking into account cyber security and will require a good understanding of secure architectures and potential attack scenarios.

For nearly 20 years F+S GmbH has been developing software for the automotive sector on the basis of disciplined process-compliant methods. We understand the requirements of security – both with respect to the process technology and implementation. We will contribute our experience and knowledge to the working group “ASPICE and IT Security” and look forward to an active exchange of experiences and ideas during the group’s first meeting.

Embedded World 2018

As always, F+S GmbH was present again with an exhibit at the embedded world exhibition and conference in Nuremberg. With more than 1,000 exhibitors, embedded world is the leading forum for the international embedded community.

F+S CubeThis year F+S once again had a special eye-catcher: a free-floating cube with our company portfolio over the F+S booth. The cube drew a great deal of attention and resulted in interesting discussions with the visitors.

Of course, we met many of our customers as well as numerous new potential customers and discussed current trends about software development in the automotive sector. Interest in Cyber Security continues to grow, and our expertise is in demand. But our products and services with respect to Functional Safety in accordance with ISO 26262, SPICE 3.1 and embedded software development also attracted much interest.

Autonomous driving is on everyone's lips – why not fly autonomously?

Jugend forschtJugend forscht is Germany's best-known youth competition and offers students an ideal framework for developing their skills and interests in the natural and technical sciences on an individual basis and at a high level.

We are pleased to be able to support a team of young researchers in their projects to develop an autonomously flying aircraft with our know-how and also with financial resources.
